These insulative strips are great for anything that gets REALLY hot!  They are able to withstand extreme temperatures to +2300 F .  We use them on our extruders to insulate the heater block to keep heat in to allow for more conisistent extrusion.  

*There is no adhesive backing so another method of adhering them is required (Kapton tape works great!).
